Seogwipo Citrus Museum is introduced as a museum where you can see, feel and experience everything about citrus. Its renewed permanent exhibition hall offers a range of information, from the origin and spread of citrus around the world and the origins of Jeju citrus to the history of the modern citrus industry and the benefits and uses of citrus.

With media art and immersive content, it sheds new light on the history and future of Jeju citrus. In the "Memory Storehouse" you can hear vivid testimony from first-generation (1st) citrus farmers, and in the "Mirror Room" you can see the history of citrus as a digital timeline. "Citrus Fantasy," made with a collage art technique, lets you experience citrus from a new perspective.

There are also a World Citrus Exhibition Hall and a subtropical botanical garden, so it suits those who want to look a little more deeply into the story of citrus before or after the expo.

Soesokkak — A Valley Where Seawater Meets Freshwater

Soesokkak is the end of Jeju Olle Route 5 and the start of Route 6, a valley where seawater meets freshwater. It lies at the very end of Hyodoncheon Stream, where water flowing down from Hallasan Mountain runs toward the south of Jeju Island, and the deep pool formed where the freshwater of Hyodoncheon Stream meets seawater is Soesokkak itself.

"Soeso" means "a pond shaped like a lying cow," and "kkak" means "the very end." Unusual rocks stand like a folding screen on both walls, and a forest grows thickly above them, so you can feel as if you have come to a mysterious valley. The freshwater reflected on the rocks is especially blue and clear, creating superb scenery with the dark gray rocks.

If you keep going down the walking path, you reach Hahyo Soesokkak Beach, known for its black sand. If you want to take in the water scenery of eastern Seogwipo along with the story of citrus, it is worth stopping by next.
